Recently, the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation was privileged to partner with Hockey Canada as a beneficiary for the IIHF World Juniors 50/50 draw from December 17th - 23rd. Thanks to everyone who participated, the draw reached over $215,000!

This means $50,000 from the 50/50 will be donated to the hospital's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit (CAMH)!

The funds raised through this partnership will allow the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit to make much-needed purchases to continue to improve the program and the care it provides, with a major focus on the patient experience. CAMH provides both urgent in-patient care and follow up treatment for children and youth ages five to 18, with highly trained staff providing trauma-informed, family-centred care for those who require emergency/urgent care, crisis stabilization, assessment, and short- and, at times, long-term treatment.

"This generous donation of $50,000 from Hockey Canada will go a long way in helping the CAMH to create an even more welcoming and effective environment for children needing care related to for their mental health concerns. We are so grateful to have been named a beneficiary, as are the many families who will surely benefit from this gift. Thank you, Hockey Canada—and go Team Canada!" - Sharlene Rutherford, President and CEO of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation.

Thank you again to everyone who bought tickets or donated – the World Juniors 50/50 would not have been this successful without your support!

Have a wonderful holiday from everyone at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation.
