The Fabulous at 50 Experience and Martini Party is an annual event that brings together a community of women in their 40’s, 50's, and 60’s to ignite the spirit of the middle-aged women to live their lives to the fullest. This year the Fabulous @ 50 team has partnered with the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation to recognize a member of our incredible Royal Alexandra Hospital staff that continuously go above and beyond the call of duty!
A huge congratulations to Emergency Room Nurse Vanessa Towle, our chosen Queen for a Day. Nominated by her friend and manager Tara Candido Vanessa has been crowned! Vanessa has been working at the Royal Alexandra Hospital as a staff nurse for 30 years and this month is her 50th birthday!
"Vanessa is an amazing nurse; she is smart and kind. We always have a great shift when Vanessa is working, she is so funny and loves to joke around with the patients" shared Candido, "It has been a real privilege to work with Vanessa, I have been her coworker and previous manager for the past 27 years and she is a dream employee. Vanessa is always available to help with projects in the department and has a positive attitude."
The decision to choose Vanessa was not an easy one with over 25 nominations made, all of which were extremely deserving of the crown. Nominations came from friends, family members, co-workers and even patients!

The Fabulous at 50 Experience and Martini Party day-long event is happening Saturday November 5, 2016 starting at 10:00 a.m. Attendees will have an opportunity to have a fabulous day, share a martini or a coffee with friends and to support local businesses. This year's event will be raising money for the Lois Hole Hospital for Women.
With great entertainment, inspirational speakers, including the Lois Hole Hospital for Women's own Dr. Sue Ross, a martini bar and lots of fabulous shopping, this is the the best trade show in town. Come early and stay late! Bring your girlfriends you won't be disappointed.
