Give a Breath 5k Virtual Walk/Run

Community Event
Aug. 8, 2020, midnight - 11 p.m.
The Give A Breath 5k walk/run wants to clear the air on lung cancer!

Even though physical distancing means we must remain apart, we can still come together! This year's walk/run will be held on August 8 via virtual participation through Strava.

Register here to take part in this year’s virtual race. Each participant will receive a virtual bib and link to join our race via Strava. There will be prizes for top fundraisers and for the top 3 male and female racers!

This is a great way to fund-raise while practicing safe social/physical distancing. Now more than ever cancer research and treatment centres need our help.

Please take photos and videos and then upload to your favourite social media channels and tag @runlabtrack, @rahfoundation and @albertacancer on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and use the hashtag #giveabreath.
After his own lung cancer diagnosis, Tim Monds was on a personal mission to spread awareness about the lung cancer causes, along with the care and the research needed to improve patient outcomes for those faced with the horrible disease. With his family by his side they started the Give a Breath Walk/Run to raise awareness and critical funds for lung cancer.

All proceeds from this year's virtual walk/run will fund lung cancer research and early detection methods happening now at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, with support from the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation in partnership with the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
