A culture of continuing growth and education can be found throughout the hospital. The Women & Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI) is the only research institute in Canada and one of the few in the world, to focus on women’s, children’s and perinatal health. WCHRI is a partnership between the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services with the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation acting as one of its major funding partners. The Lois Hole Hospital for women is proud to be the home to one of two research hubs for WCHRI and the exceptional research happening at the hospital continues to grow each year.
